France overview

France Travel Guide
A land of croissants, chateaus, the Eiffel Tower and beret wearing onion sellers, everyone has their own preconception of what France is about. It is a country where presidents get married to models and there are more holidays than days in the year. It is the home of ridiculously indulgent food and the world’s most fabulous wines. Its history is that of conquest and revolution and no two regions are ever quite alike, or ever seem to get along. Travellers to this diverse part of the world are likely to be frustrated and delighted in equal amounts. The bureaucracy is unfathomable; the people can be welcoming and generous as well as aloof and rude. Whatever the experience, prepare for any preconceptions about France to be blown away.
