Rouen overview

Located about halfway from Paris to Le Havre, is the small city of Rouen. Not so much a city often frequented by tourists, the city of Rouen is great for travellers who have an extended of time that want to get to know what ordinary life is like in a French city. Like most cities in France, Rouen features all the usual historic sites such as churches and museums which showcase the city’s history and culture. Rouen is also a large number of small local French restaurants with prices which are quite reasonable for French standards, and accommodation catering for budget and mid-range prices. Getting around the city is best advised by foot, as taxis can be quite expensive, so bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes!
